The Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Azura 2000 Debuts on May 6

First unveiled in mid-November 2022, Jae Tips' collaboration with Saucony on the Grid Azura 2000 is set to make its debut on May 6.

Combining creativity, style, and culture, this eye-catching Saucony Originals project features an array of premium materials, similar to the Bronx native's signature fitted caps and pins; The vibrant shoe box even displays a tongue-in-cheek "Jae Tips First Shoe."

The retro-futuristic sneaker boasts an eclectic mix of colors and patterns. Pink adorns the "Grid"-branded midsoles, while a semi-translucent finish graces the outsole. Purple suede, zebra prints, and floral patterns share the spotlight on the upper, creating a dynamic yet harmonious appearance. Co-branding is featured prominently throughout the shoe, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the project. Jae Tips commented on his partnership with Saucony, stating that it's not always about the money, but rather the "cool" factor.

Jae Tips began talks with the Massachusetts-based company about a potential footwear collaboration in early 2021. Over the course of almost two years, he refined the Grid Azura 2000 to his satisfaction, culminating in one of the brand's most visually striking offerings.

In addition to the bold Grid Azura 2000, the duo has teased a second shoe, the Saucony Grid Shadow 2, which will be available in various color schemes. Although timelines are subject to change, the follow-up project is anticipated to launch in November.
