Jae Tips x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 Collection Proves "Flowers Grow Uptown"
Over the last handful of years, Jae Tips has been a mainstay within the sneaker space. In addition to developing and launching compelling product with an unexpected partner (Saucony), the Bronx-native has reinvigorated the world of in-person activations and project rollouts. On the latter front, he's chosen perfect times to unveil new collaborations; his latest was revealed in mid-May in the form of a ProGrid Triumph 4.
Captured and posted to social media by Hass of @MyFirstKicksPod, the pair debuted during Complex's Family Style Food Festival in New York City. Jae Tips hadn't publicly acknowledged whether or not the sneaker is his next project, but a look at more co-branded Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 pairs confirms it.

Akin to its predecessors, the unreleased collaborations feature a variety of eye-catching colors across the retro running silhouette. A salmon-reminiscent pink animates the bulk of one pair's mesh base, while the second previewed style opts for a bold shade of red. The project teased ahead of June's Paris Fashion Week also indulges in icy blue and punchy neon green, doubling down on a design style often associated with the Bronx creative. Lateral side branding is complemented by an embroidered flower from the SAVIOR WORLDWIDE imprint across the footwear duo. Accompanying purple and green looks further emphasize the flora concept.
Elsewhere, shades of olive green take on synthetic panels across the upper, which first hit the market in 2007, of the initial ProGrid Triumph 4. A sail-colored midsole appears underfoot, while a previously-unseen leaf emblem claims stake on the top-of-the-tongue in an assortment of colors.
On Tuesday, June 24, the Bronx-native took to Instagram to reveal the best look yet at his sixth collaboration with Saucony Originals. The lineup—tentatively dubbed Flowers Grow Uptown—features at least four different boldly-colored, floral-covered takes on the retro runner. Together, each sneaker comes together to serve as a reminder that beauty and prosperity can come from even the roughest conditions.
Stay tuned for firm details of the unreleased Jae Tips x ProGrid Triumph 4 project. The pair(s) should launch by the beginning of fall for $160.
