Thirty years on, the Saucony Shadow 6000 has, like many retro runners, repurposed itself from premier trainer to a staple fashion piece. It’s also earned itself the title of the King of Food-Themed Releases, with a slew of delicious drum-ups being some of the silhouette’s most notable iterations. Now, mere days after unveiling the mash-up “Foodfight” colorway— a What The of their best grub-geared releases — comes another — this one replicating the old country’s obsession with Licorice All-Sorts.
The esoterically loved candy is honored quite obviously through its use of hypnotizing black and white through the upper and outsole, with candy pink, yellow, and mint hues literally sandwiching the titular hues as tightly as the candy itself. Material-wise you’ll see a mix of mesh, leather, suede, and nubuck, along with the signature PWRRUN midsole, and performance-driven traction.
Grab a look for yourself just below, and expect to see these hit select retailers soon, with some stores listing up (and now removing) a release for late October.
