Ayo!: Westside Gunn's Saucony Grid Jazz 9 Features a Luxurious Red Finish
Westside Gunn is ready to take over the sneaker collaboration space with Saucony.
Late last year, the Buffalo, New York-native previewed his first co-branded project with the storied running brand. And while Flygod continues to tweak the inaugural ProGrid Triumph 4, he's seemingly closer to getting his Grid Jazz 9 collab right enough for a public release.
A first-look at the follow-up sneaker took place during Paris Fashion Week, an occasion that also saw Jae Tips unveil his "Flowers Grow Uptown" Triumph 4 collection. Unlike its predecessor, the Westside Gunn x Saucony Grid Jazz 9 opts for a tonal red finish instead of multiple neon shades. A number of faux reptilian scales take over panels across the sneaker, elevating the retro running design to the standards of the Griselda member. Large scorpion patches replace Saucony's logo on the profiles, further cementing Westside Gunn's position in the company's century-old history. The technical sole unit underfoot also indulges in a ruby-colored finish, rounding out the eye-catching, Griselda-branded pair.
