Look, I Know this colorway is probably only a matter of months away from being a reality — but I just couldn’t help myself. The King’s Fruity Pebbles theme is a long-winded one, first seen on the LeBron 4 back in 2006 (and is still fetching wild aftermarket prices of around $4.5k) all the way up to the LeBron 15 — we kind of got one last year, but it looked pretty murky. So here’s hoping we get one this year _ and with that pebbly, Foamposite-loaded knit in the rear, it’s a perfect choice for the breakfast icon to return.
My take utilizes that bulbous look as if you were staring down at a bowl —one that’s been sitting there long enough for the colors to blend and merge in the milk. Clean white midsoles are a no-brainer, and, to distance myself from that drab multi-Color vibe from last year, I’ve opted to keep the Air Unit and Swoosh in soft pastel colors. Delicious.
Now, here’s hoping we actually get a Fruity Pebble release in 2019/20 — and if it looks anything like this concept, I’d be a very happy lad.
