Alexander Wang’s latest trainers are turnt

It’s noted that Alexander Wang’s Adidas collabs over the years have been wild — experimental to say the least. And while his next effort with adidas — these Turnout Trainers — is toned down, it still pushes the envelope, and perhaps, may be his most experimental to date.

The duo of Turnout Trainers are releasing as part of the Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals Season 3 collection. The brand-new model boasts a mix of classic nylon and suede upper — with a foam tongue — that honors designs from the 1970s. This time around, Wang’s quirkiness comes in minute details, including bar code labels and flipped tongue tags. Product specs fill are printed on the nylon toe, al-la Virgil Abloh. The unique chunky sole is a mash up, inspired by retro basketball shoes in the forefoot and modern trainers in the heel.

The Turnout Trainer arrives in two colorways, “Light Brown” and “Core Black” with the entire Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals Season 3, this Saturday, July 23. You will find them at select Adidas Originals retailers, Alexander Wang flagship stores, and online at adidas.com for 250 bones.
