    The secret is unveiled.

A few weeks back we reported on the mysterious “Unbanned” campaign that floated around Downtown L.A. and throughout the internet. Today, the mystery was unraveled.

‘Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1’ is a documentary directed by Dexton Deboree, co-founder of the award winning creative agency, Los York. This project marks the official launch of Los York Entertainment, a division of Dexton’s company that focuses on content that displays both social impact and cultural significance.

“The AJ1 is more than a shoe. It’s a symbol of a much greater meaning across genders, race, geography and time. Now more than ever, what this shoe represents, its impact on society and its role in really creating, defining and redefining a lot of our modern culture makes it a story that has to be told.”

    Writer-Director Dexton Deboree.

The documentary explores the incredible journey of the Air Jordan 1 and its chain reaction role in disrupting the NBA, changing the game of basketball, birthing sneaker culture and influencing a social and cultural revolution in sports, music, fashion, art, social behavior and sneakers in general.

It featuring icons from across the cultural spectrum, from those heavily involved in the Jordan Bran in early days, including Spike Lee, Tinker Hatfield and Mike himself, to current and past players like Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook and many other from the melting pot of culture that the Jordan Brand has crossed into.
