The city of Charlotte, NC plays host to this year’s All-Star weekend festivities, which means big things for the sneaker world. The weekend is full of NC-inspired themes, including many motorsport and Hornets-themed creations. But the city is also down the road from MJ’s Alma Mater, the University of North Carolina. And being that this is Mike’s first dance hosting the weekend as a team owner, it only seems fitting that Jordan Brand celebrates the momentous occasion with a handful of UNC-inspired colorways scheduled to release during the weekend, including this Air Jordan 1 for the ladies.

Like the “Gold Toe” release from February last year, it too receives a full patent leather upper n traditional “Black Toe” color blocking. To fit the Tarheels theme, it swaps out the black for navy blue and the gold for University Blue, and it’s finished off with a white midsole and Uni Blue outsole. Pairs will be arriving in extended sizes, so fellas with smaller feet can still get in on the cop.
