Detailed Looks at the Chinese New Year Air Max 98
Kick of the new year in steez.
Pharrell’s Solar Hu Glide ST isn’t the only sneaker on the way to celebrate Chinese New Year, with this wild Air Max 98 set to hit stores early 2019.
There’s a lot going on on this one — we’re not sure where to start, so we’ll start from the top down. Its upper rocks a traditional Chinese art, similar to the “Tianjin” Foamposites from 2015, and it’s overlayed with golden pony hair and brown and gold snakeskin. It’s highlighted with pops of red patent leather, gold branding, teal heal tabs and its finished off with a sail midsole, gold Air unit and black rubber outsole.
Look for the Nike Air Max 98 “CNY” to release in February, 2019, at select retailers. Stay tuned for official looks, release dates and the cop guide!
