Nike’s Epic React Flyknit is now live on NIKEiD

    Customize your run.

Nike’s Epic React Flyknit hit the ground running when it debuted in February, as pre-launch claims were thrown around that this was the best new running shoe on the market.

It was Nike’s response to adidas’ BOOST success, and boy did it make quite the impact – all the while reducing the impact on your joints.

But it’s debut on NIKEiD differs slightly from traditional introductions to the online customization program. It’s been parsed into five “run clubs” from around the globe for it’s intro, each stands as one part of the iD process. Nike break them down like this:

“Tokyo’s Athletics Far East run crew’s design palette honors the Tokyo subway map. Koreatown Run Club in Los Angeles created a palette primarily inspired by the Korean flag. Seoul’s Private Road Running Club’s design features the Corinthian helmet logo and gold accents to symbolize the crew’s marathon achievements and victories to come. One Crew from Shanghai used nature-inspired tones that nod to clouds, dawn and the medals they strive for, along with the Chinese symbol for “fly.” Amsterdam streetwear label Patta and London’s Track Mafia partnered up on a triple black version meant to channel the fearless nature of city culture.”

Traditional methods of customization for the NIKEiD Epic React are live today here, but if you’re wanting to try out one of the running crew builds, you’ll have to wait until May 10.
