Nike’s “LeBron Watch” is kicked off with a banger

Nike are now giving fans the opportunity to buy LeBron PE’s the second he steps on the NBA hardwood through the new “LeBron Watch” program. And it kicked off last night with a colorway inspired by one of Nikes most iconic sneakers.

James last night kicked off the program by wearing an exclusive Nike LeBron 15 “Waffle”, inspired by the Nike Waffle Trainer. One of the earliest Nike styles, the Blue and Yellow Waffle trainer was the brainchild of legendary University of Oregon track coach and Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. That was the sneaker that put Nike on the map for it’s innovation – something that continues to run strong all these years later.

And it seems looking to the past for inspiration will continue, with a teaser video suggesting some classic colorways and sneaker influences to come. Keep an eye on the court and SNKRS for upcoming information on each special edition PE, as well as the chance to purchase select colorways the second LeBron takes the hardwood.
