Colbo Deconstructs Sperry's Authentic Original™ Boat Shoe
Tal Silberstein founded Colbo in New York City in hopes of filling a gap he diagnosed in the worlds of fashion and lifestyle. Over the years, his brand has made a name for itself through thoughtful projects, to which a Sperry Authentic Original™ Boat Shoe collaboration has been added.
Inspired and informed by a pair Silberstein wore for years, the Sperry x Colbo Authentic Original™ Boat Shoe is purposefully deconstructed. The aged aesthetic and collapsable heel are rooted in the idea of refined luxury through a primitive lens. The result is a duo of the iconic boat shoe that speaks to both brands' obsession with premium craftsmanship.
"[I]nnovation was always at the root of Sperry’s success," shared Jonathan Frankel, President of Sperry “Colbo’s unprecedented approach to men’s and womenswear offers a fresh interpretation of style, making this crossover a true embodiment of what Paul Sperry envisioned for the brand when he founded it in 1935."

The deconstructed collaboration arrives in two different makeups: "Weathered Sahara" and "Distressed Taupe." Both feature pre-washed leather, leather soles, and arrive in special packaging. Pairs can be worn casually or dressed up.
A wider launch takes place via Sperry.com on Monday July 14 after a successful early release through Colbo's online and in-store channels (51 Orchard St, New York). Each pair is priced at $225.
