LEGO Dives Into Bikini Bottom With New SpongeBob SquarePants Icons Set

LEGO is taking fans back to Bikini Bottom with a new SpongeBob SquarePants build made for adult collectors.

The LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom set recreates some of the most recognizable locations from the animated series, including SpongeBob’s pineapple house, Squidward’s home, Patrick’s Rock, and a Jellyfish Fields scene. Built as a display-ready set, the 1,794-piece release is designed for shelves, desks, and collectors who grew up with the world of SpongeBob.

The build includes detailed interiors throughout. SpongeBob’s pineapple home features a living room and bedroom, while Squidward’s house includes a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and rooftop lounge. Patrick’s Rock also opens up with its own interior, giving the set plenty of small moments pulled from the show.

LEGO also packs the set with familiar characters and story details. Minifigures include SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Gary the Snail, and DoodleBob, while accessories include the boatmobile, Squidward’s clarinet and music stand, a portrait of Gary, and other Easter eggs tied to classic episodes.

The set measures over 9.5 inches high, 21 inches wide, and 5 inches deep, making it a sizeable display piece without taking over a full room. It also works with the LEGO Builder app, allowing users to rotate the model in 3D, zoom in, and track progress while building.

The LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom set arrives as a nostalgic return for longtime fans of the series, giving one of animation’s most recognizable underwater worlds a full collector-focused LEGO build.

The 1,794-piece set is available now for pre-order ahead of its wider release on September 1, alongside the $12.99 SpongeBob SquarePants Figure.
