Five-decade drip.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s God-status, self-titled debut album. And no other sneaker company could pay homage to the band than the rock industry’s go-to, Vans.
The Anaheim shoe co. is celebrating the ever-relevant album, one which is still considered one of the most influential of all time, with a duo of equally iconic silhouettes, the Vans Sk8-Hi, and the Vans Era, each celebrating the record in their own unique way. The Sk8-Hi features the album ’s burning Hindenburg Airshi printed across the lateral and medial quarters, while red Led Zeppelin text branding and a red tongue patch add a little colorful contrast. The Era dons an all-over print, consisting of each band member’s identifying icon and over-sized “LED ZEPLIN” UV-Printed on the midsoles. Both shoes arrive packaged in custom boxes, and are joined by a commemorative trucker hat and a long-sleeve tee.
Led Zeppelin and rock fans alike will find the complete capsule hitting Vans.com and at the Led Zeppelin website next Friday, February 22nd.
