The Vans Old Skool 36 “Archive Flame” Has Resurfaced

The Vans Old Skool 36 “Archive Flame” has resurfaced, with the black colorway from the pack now back at select retailers after its original release earlier this year.

First arriving in April 2026, the pair brings back one of Vans’ most recognizable graphics, covering the black upper with red, orange and yellow flames. A light-colored Jazz Stripe cuts through the side panels, keeping the familiar Old Skool look intact beneath the louder graphic.

The release also carries a deliberately worn-in finish. Scuffed tooling, rough stitching and aged-looking materials give the pair the appearance of something pulled from the Vans archive rather than a freshly produced retro.

The black pair originally launched alongside additional “Archive Flame” colorways, but this version keeps closest to the classic black-and-red flame treatment long associated with Vans.

After its April debut, the black Vans Old Skool 36 “Archive Flame” is back at on Foot Locker for $105.
