Adidas has made it official: Yeezys are returning to the market.
Bjorn Gulden, the CEO of Adidas, shared these plans with investors. He stated, "Our intention over time is to sell sections of these goods and contribute to organizations that support us and have been adversely affected by Kanye's comments. Simply destroying the inventory isn't the solution."
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these sneakers will be given to charitable organizations, and Kanye West, the brain behind the Yeezy brand, will earn a 15% commission on all items sold.
Currently, Yeezy merchandise worth 1.2 billion euros (about $1.3 billion) is in storage after sales were halted.
While the exact date for the release of these products is yet to be confirmed, speculation is rife that the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” might be the first to be restocked.
