OG Post 09.26.19 // Kanye West is ending 2019 — and kicking off 2020 — with a bang. His famed YEEZY line will be dropping a handful of marquee 350 v2 silhouettes to end 2019, each arriving more colorful than the last. Tipped to following Decembers drops of the glow-in-the-dark “YEEZREEL” and the biblically-named “Yecheil” is this Purple YEEZY 350 v2 “Yeshaya.”
Once again it appears that Kanye has plucked the name from Hebrew heritage, with Yeshaya deriving a meaning of God is Salvation. The previously-previewed Yecheil colorway comes from the Hebrew name Yechiel, meaning May God Live., furthering Ye’s fixation with religion. It’s been a long-running undertone for his entire body of creative works, from 2004’s single Jesus Walks, to his more recent Sunday Services — now the theme bleeds back into his YEEZY range. The pair freshens up the brand’s notoriously earthy palate with a colorful mismatched What The-styled upper; a purple Primeknit base boasts bold black midfoot stripes, and is paired with vibrant yellow hits at the toe and heel, with a midfoot section reserved for a mid-grey. It’s finished off with purple liners, laces, and sole units. Like the two aforementioned drops, it’s also expected to release in both reflective and non-reflective versions.
A release date for the YEEZY 350 v2 “Yeshaya” is still yet to be revealed, but there are whispers of a January 2020 drop. So until more info surfaces, take in a first look at the pairs below, and keep it locked on HOUSE OF HEAT for updates.
