Like almost every YEEZY sneaker, it’s been a long time coming. But none have been dragged out as much as the alien-esque YEEZY 451. After first doing the rounds on social media in early 2018, the pair has finally debuted itself on foot of Ye himself at Paris Fashion Week.

Back in March 2020, Ye’ stepped out in the overly aggressive sneaker that — in all honestly — looks like something straight out of the Blade trilogy. Either that or its design is inspired by a freshly steamed batch of Dumplings:

Of course, it’s divided the community — but what Kanye sneaker hasn’t? This one, though, is so far removed from the brand’s mainline ethos in favor of overly aggressive sole unit overlays, extending upwards onto the woven upper in sharp spikes. Color blocking remains tonal, and branding is nowhere to be seen.

After months of silence and a pretty slow start to 2021 from the YEEZY brand, we thought we’d have to wait significantly longer for a release of the now-titled YEEZY 450, which was originally planned for February. With no word in sight, many presumed that the pair would be — in true YEEZY style — postponed for months. But out of the blue, the sneaker has appeared for a YEEZY Supply-exclusive release on March 4th.

Contrary to earlier reports, the YEEZY 450 “Cloud White” will release globally on adidas.com, with pairs uploaded on regional adidas footsites for a release on March 6th. It’s also likely that other retailers will also be stocking the release.
