After a slow start to 2021, the YEEZY Brand has certainly picked up a full head of steam as it enters the second half of the year, with weekly — often two-a-a-week — releases loading up calendars left, right, and center. Enjoying somewhat of a resurgence in 2021 is the YEEZY 500, which has been a frequent player in both High and Low form throughout the year. Now, after unveiling two new Highs for next month comes a Low-cut option to kick-start Fall in the YEEZY 500 “Brown Clay.”
Like the majority of the 500 models, this one sticks with the monochromatic theme, again returning to earthy hues. Here, though, contrast is more significant between mesh, leather, rubber, and suede, the latter providing the biggest shift in a faded light shade. The aforementioned arrive mostly in dark tones, though there are significant changes in tints between the materials, i.e., mesh and soles are gey-like, while leathers sport a greenish hue.
A release date for the YEEZY 500 “Taupe Light” has been set for October 30th, with pairs set to retail for their standard $200 price point. Grab an official look at the colorway here below, and stay tuned for a comprehensive store list for the drop as we edge closer to its release.
