Seller Blames StockX for Lost Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October”

Misplaced mail is a common grievance for sneakerheads, with stories of lost or stolen packages rife across social media. But this latest story is a little different, and arguably the worst case of a ‘lost’ package we’ve ever witnessed. Twitter user and UK-based sneakerhead san_nimat alleges that they sent off a deadstock pair of the famed Nike Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’ to StockX for authentication following a sale (worth well over $10k, mind you). Known for their lengthy authentication process, StockX allegedly replied back two weeks after receiving the package, claiming that no pair of the ‘Red October’ was received in the package, instead of housing a ‘random pair’.

Refuting the response, san_nimat says that this situation is ‘impossible’, and questioned why the online marketplace took two weeks to respond on such a high-profile (and missing) item, suggesting communication should’ve been made much sooner had the Red Octobers not been received.

Screenshots of the alleged email correspondence can be found below.

Very fishy as pictures are always taken of the item and returned if there was an issue, not binned. pic.twitter.com/3ZySgiiDfl

san_nimat has stated the situation is ‘very fishy’, claiming that the ‘random pair’ would’ve been photographed and sent back if there was legitimately an issue with the authenticity. He has chosen to point the finger at a StockX staff member for potentially ‘losing’ the coveted pair, though it’s at all possible that it may have been lost in transit on-route to StockX via local or international carriers.
