Penny Hardaway gets his own “Hey Penny” foamposite

Nike are dusting off the retro ads again for 2017.

Nike and Jordan have gone HAM on the vintage advert inspiration this year. Just a few months back we saw Kith x Nike utilize the old phone number adverts from the mid-90’s and of course the upcoming “Like Mike” Gatorade themed Jordans. But today we got a look at yet another sneaker inspired by a piece of mid-90’s marketing – the Nike Little Posite One “Hey Penny”.

The Nike “Hey Penny” advert (pictured below) is actually from back in 1995, two years before the Foamposite was officially released, but the silhouette is synonymous with the former Magic star that any old link to Penny would fit well enough for a fresh design.

    UPDATE 12.27.17

It seems there is at least one pair of Men’s sized “Hey Penny” foams – and it was for the man himself. Penny Hardaway was yesterday spotted in an adult version of the Kids-exclusive, but we’re not holding our breath on a wider release.
