Bruh they were so excited!!
The Philadelphia 76ers picked up their first victory of the season on Thursday night, as they defeated the Chicago Bulls 127-108.
But what has taken Philly and social media by storm is Markelle Fultz hitting a late three-point shot. The Sixers and all of Wells Fargo Center erupted in cheers, and gave him a standing ovation to top it off. It…sort of felt like Senior Night at one of the worst high school programs in America.
NBC Sports Philadelphia tweeted out the following video showing Fultz draining the three and the fans in attendance losing their minds, leaving an equally corny caption alongside it.

While the official account was excited about this revelation coming to life on the court, they realized how savage the comments section on social media can truly be.
Imagine what’s gonna happen in 4 years when Ben Simmons makes his first 3 pointer… pic.twitter.com/xWhieYKy4Y

Four years? Simmons might even still be a rookie by then!
It’s like when the high school team puts in the special needs kid to make a basket, and to hear the crowd go wild!

But what a shot it was for Fultz.

The 2017 Eagles would like to have a word.
He really did it.

Yes, he really did the thing.

Oof.
Look, 76ers fans have been patient with their first overall pick from 2017, as he has been held back due to a right shoulder injury and strange mental complications, which hindered his jump shot. But now, it appears everything is coming into place.
And make no mistake about it. Every time Fultz hits a shot from behind the arc, Philly will go crazy…and Twitter will be ready with the roasts.
