As the global 4/20 holiday approaches, both recreational and medicinal enthusiasts are gearing up for the festivities. In response, several footwear brands are unveiling their latest collections, inspired by the euphoric sensation of soaring skywards. While Vans and Reebok have focused on the marijuana leaf motif, adidas Originals has turned its attention to the early harvest season, when cultivators nurture their crops.
The adidas Campus 80s "Crop" boasts a unique tear-away design, featuring a light brown rolling paper wrapper that covers the shoe's upper. Perforations run the entire length of the wrapper, providing a customizable 1-of-1 design experience. This model seems to be a thematic successor to the South Park x adidas Campus 80s "Towelie," sporting light cucumber-hued laces and a nylon sock liner.
Beneath the outer shroud, the shoes reveal a vibrant patch of bright green suede, reminiscent of the flourishing cannabis plant. Color-matched nubucks adorn the tongue, mid-foot stripes, and heel tab. Adding a touch of excitement, a psychedelic multi-colored tie-dye pattern enlivens the sidewalls' undersides and tongue, while also covering the insoles with the iconic hazy theme.
The adidas Campus 80s "Crop" is set to launch on Thursday, April 20th at the stores listed in the "Buy Now" button above.
