adidas’ all-new adiFOM Q clog has had one of the most contentious starts in footwear history.
After the success of their partnership with Ye West – formerly Kanye – and his YEEZY line, things all went a bit pear-shaped. The breaking point was the revelation of this shoe, a model that created some waves within circles given the similarities to the YEEZY FOAM RUNNER.
adidas disputes any claims from Mr West on IP theft, their argument is that these actually draw from the archive and reimagine the 2001 adidas Quake sneaker in a contemporary sense. Kanye doesn’t see it this way, but when compared to other foamy footwear, the adiFOM Q has much more structure, with an internal system that makes this much more sneaker and far less clog.
Now, it’s reappeared in four new monochrome colorways based in black, grey and/or white, each of which have already release back home in Australia; A wider release is expected to land Stateside soon.
With more details (and more colorways) to follow, you’ll want to make sure that you keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
