The adidas AE 3 Mule Takes Ant-Man’s Line Off Court
While the adidas Anthony Edwards 3 has yet to be officially unveiled, the next chapter of Ant-Man’s signature line is already starting to spill into lifestyle territory.
The adidas AE 3 Mule “Core Black/Lucid Red” is expected to arrive in October 2026, offering a slip-on extension of Anthony Edwards’ growing adidas roster. Rather than simply turning a performance sneaker into a slide, the pair leans fully into its own sculpted identity, carrying over the bold, futuristic language that has helped define the AE series so far.
Dressed almost entirely in Core Black, the mule features a molded one-piece upper with raised, wave-like paneling along the sides and forefoot. The shape feels aggressive and aerodynamic, almost like a recovery clog pulled from the same design universe as Edwards’ on-court models. A Lucid Red stripe wraps around the collar and flows across the top of the foot, adding the only major hit of contrast to the otherwise stealthy build.
Branding is kept minimal, with Edwards’ signature logo appearing near the forefoot and small adidas marks placed at the toe and upper. Underfoot, the outsole continues the sculptural theme with deep ridges and a rounded traction pattern, giving the mule more visual weight than a standard post-game slide.
The timing is interesting, too. With the AE 3 itself still under wraps, this mule offers an early glimpse at where adidas may be taking Edwards’ line next: bolder shapes, off-court utility, and a stronger lifestyle presence beyond basketball.
The adidas AE 3 Mule “Core Black/Lucid Red” is currently expected to release in October 2026 via adidas.com and select retailers for $70.
