adidashas made it abundantly clear that the future of their footwear will be heavily seeded in the past. Retoolings to completely new inspired silhouettes have been the main course for adidas in 2019. Now three of the brand’s newest retro-influenced heavy hitters hit the market, and they’re putting a big focus on their respective cushioning tech — literally.
The three silhouettes cover three different decades of tech: Torsion arrived in the late 80s, adiPrene was prolific in the mid-90s onwards and BOOST, which dominated the market since its introduction in 2015. Each pair arrives in a palette of Footwear White/Solar Red/Crystal White, as well as uniformity between the ultra-shaggy suede overlays and lower dubraes in translucent turquoise. As for the big, bold branding as the pack title suggests, both the Ozweego and ZX Torsion sports logos beneath the semi-translucent mid panels: the Ozweego with an oversized adiPRENE motif, and the ZX Torsion with a wallpaper of Torsion logos. The Nite Jogger differs slightly, incorporating its callout to the BOOST tech via a cryptic Morse Code printed on the lateral heel.
Three decades of comfort merged into three modernized silhouettes for one bangin’ Big Logo Pack. All three pairs are set to arrive at select stores like Finish Line and adidas.com on September 28th.
