adidas is closing out the year with purpose, unveiling a special #GivingTuesday release arriving tomorrow, December 2nd. Titled Community Archives, the limited-edition zine spotlights the hidden histories, overlooked architects, and culture-shaping voices who have helped mold sport, community, and creative expression across the last several decades. It’s a project rooted in adidas’ long-standing grassroots efforts, designed not only to honor those who paved the way, but to inspire the next generation to push the work forward.
Built from five years of deep collaboration with community leaders, youth programs, cultural creators, and purpose-driven partners, Community Archives serves as a living record of impact. Its pages highlight individuals whose contributions extend far beyond the spotlight, capturing the milestones, movements, and local heroes who’ve helped shape adidas’ ecosystem of change.
Among the voices featured are Wanda Cooper-Jones, mother of Ahmaud Arbery and founder of the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation; Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, founder and president of Pensole Lewis College; and adidas Women’s Basketball president and WNBA legend Candace Parker. The zine also includes contributions and stories from athletes like Aliyah Boston, Erica Wheeler, and Nneka Ogwumike, alongside additional community leaders and changemakers.
Their reflections underscore the heart of the project: storytelling as both preservation and activation. Cooper-Jones writes that the zine is an invitation to look beyond the printed page and recognize the dreams, future paths, and generational shifts that community work can spark. Ayesha Martin, Senior Director of adidas Purpose Marketing, describes Community Archives as a documented testament to the quiet courage, bold risks, and shared potential that continue to drive grassroots impact.
Aligned with the zine’s debut, adidas is also inviting adiClub members to participate in a monthlong #GivingTuesday initiative. From December 1 through December 31, members can contribute 100 adiClub points to activate a $1 donation from adidas—up to $50,000—to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America and their mission to expand wellness programming for youth nationwide.
Community Archives releases December 2nd, available to adiClub members as adidas continues its commitment to elevating untold stories and fueling the next chapter of community-driven change.
