The Original Designer Of The adidas ZX Range, Jacques Chassaing, Gets His Own ZX 10000C Colorway
Widely known for their collaborative efforts with some of the world’s leading retailers, adidas’ Consortium division will now look back to their own history for their next inspired sneaker. Celebrating the final days of the 30th anniversary of Torsion, adidas Consortium has linked up with the original designer of the ZX range in Jacques Chassaing, for a special-edition ZX 10000C – a celebratory silhouette that made its debut earlier this year in wake of the tech’s big 3-0.
Fittingly, the pair blends together design elements reflective of Chassaing’s favorite ZX models. The customary nappy suedes and mesh makeup arrives dyed in mostly Navy, and is paired with silver accents — both a reflection of classic 80s trainers and colors that JC himself still wears on-foot most days. In contrast to the classic, vibrant aqua blue accents mark the midsole, heel mesh, and tongue branding — perhaps a tribute to the OG ZX 8000 OG, of which, is about to be reissued with BOOST-loaded midsoles.
A must-have for OG adi fans and modern-day streetwear sluts, this homage-loaded adidas Consortium ZX 10000 JC will be hitting the retailers listed here below on Dec. 28 for a retail tag of $150 USD.
