Despite the turmoils, Derrick Rose’s popularity has never wavered. Naturally, his footwear deal with adidas was heavily impacted by his absence from the court, but there’s still some nostalgia surrounding his earliest models. For fans of the Windy City Assasin, there’s none more notable than the adidas D Rose 1, and now after re-releasing in its OG Black and All-Star Simeon colorways, adidas is bringing back the Bulls-flavored red release that made waves back in 2011.
Designed with clear Chi-City influence, the court-ready iteration shrouds its glossy, perforated upper with scarlet red and couples this with black ankle straps, heel overlays, and midsoles. adidas branding is primarily present towards the mid-foot that spells out “adizero”, as well as through the stripes that start towards the lower heels and transition down in the back part of the outsole.
With pairs having dropped at only a handful of select stores in Asia last November, a release has finally been confirmed in the U.S. for February 1st. If you are planning on picking up a pair on the day, make sure you head to our dedicated adidas Release Dates Calendar to set yourself a reminder for the drop.
