Having first leaked back in December of 2019, we thought we’d be seeing the first retail release of the adidas D Rose 11 much earlier than expected. Though already released in Asia, Derrick’s eleventh signature sneaker is yet to see a Stateside release. It now appears that it won’t be waiting much longer, with the scheduled release of the adidas D Rose 11 “Brenda” for November 1st.

It’s a sneaker that will again delve into the things that Rose himself holds important: his family and his roots in the city of Chicago — two recurring themes in the D Rose signature series. Shown below is the adidas D Rose 4 “Brenda,” which first debuted back in October 2013 and is just one of many from the long line of Brenda-branded releases. It was dedicated to his mother’s fondness for the color red, although it’s unsure whether that came to be before or after her son rose to prominence with the Chicago Bulls. Like releases past, the D Rose 11 features a striking all-red upper that works in unison with contrasting black and white accentuations throughout. Completing the design is a translucent rubber outsole that reveals a marbleized graphic beneath, and a special inner tongue motif dedicated to his mom.
