Donovan Mitchell is continuing his unconventional line of releases with another out of the box concept, previous drops have paid tribute to such mediums as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Crayola crayons, and the Day of the Dead celebrations. Although 9 out of 10 dentists wouldn’t recommend, we do — presenting the adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 “Gummy Bears”.
This sugar hit comes at us using an assortment of various materials such as premium leathers, mesh, and rubber. Pouring itself over the majority of the upper is “Metalic Gold” which covers everything with the exception of the laces, black detailing, and Haribo Gummy Bear inspired heel overlay. Underfoot we can see more of the same, a gold midsole unit that’s framed by a sugar rush induced multi-colored rubber outsole providing the traction when it’s needed most. Completing the look before we get diabetes is the red and black laces, typical branding, and spidey insignia on the heel.
