First Looks // LEGO x adidas D.O.N Issue #3

As it appears, today’s unveiling of the adidas D.O.N Issue #2 “CNY” isn’t the only themed sneaker on the way for the star Jazz guard, with Donovan Mitchell linking up with a childhood icon for a very special collaborative release: The LEGO x adidas DON Issue #3.

First looks at the new silhouette have just filtered through, showing a vibrant golden yellow upper that’s been bricked as if built with the famous plastic pieces. Elsewhere, you’ll find a bevy of primary-colored accents, from green to blue to red reaching as far back from the toe to heel. Crispt white midsoles space out the vibrant “MOM”-built graphic beneath — who else would have bought him LEGO as a kid? —while further color bombs arrive at the heel pull and lateral ankle’s Three Stripe embroidery. Arguably the pair’s most charming feature is the scattered Donovan LEGO heads printed across the collar and tongue — and also prominently on the retro adidas-inspired tongue tag. Completing the design is a set of mismatch graphic insoles, the right donning co-branding, while the left depicts a LEGO Donovan dunking down.
