The themed sneaker releases continue for Utah superstar Donovan Mitchell with this new adidas DON Issue 3 “Day of the Dead” appearing mere days after his special-edition Marvel “Venom” release.
Don doesn’t back down on the detailing for this pair, with its split black and sail mesh base boasting an abundance of traditional Día de Muertos designs. Decorative Calaveras grace the tongue and insole and are mimicked on a larger scale at the pair’s forefoot. There’s a bevy of colorful accents throughout to match the upper, though the midfoot “Día de Muertos” opts for black-on-black. Underfoot, you’ll find sail midsoles capped with a semi-translucent peach outsole — the latter displaying a stream of marigold flowers as a final nod to the holiday.
Though a release date for the adidas DON Issue 2 “Day of the Dead” has not yet been confirmed, you would expect these to drop ahead of the November 2nd observance.
