Back in May, Utah Jazz superstar Donovan Mitchell continued his Spider-Man-themed releases with a special Venom edition of the Don 2. Mere days later, he previewed a new option on the Three, a pair which has since been radio silent. But now it appears a release is imminent, with an official image of the adidas DON Issue 3 “Venom” hitting servers this week.
The embodies the spirit (and the razor-sharp teeth) of the titular symbiote for one of the deadliest colorways in Don’s well-stacked back catalog. Arriving mostly in black mesh, the pair then adds a high-gloss glaze across its upper to mimic the titular character’s slick appearance — a marbled finish that’s also subtle replicated on the liner, midsole insert, and outsole. His signature teeth are featured down the eyestays, while pops of pink-red aim to channel the signature sick ’em tongue. Official Venom branding can be seen across the midfoot — with DON lettering in the back rocking the same style — and co-branded insoles complete the design.
Already available at select hoops stores here in Australia, you can expect to see a global rollout of the adidas DON Issue 2 “Venom” soon.
