After much anticipation, London sneaker boutique Footpatrol is poised to launch its unique adidas Gazelle, originally conceptualized for last year’s “Consortium Cup” design tournament. This distinctive model draws heavy inspiration from outdoor gear, specifically down jackets, making it a standout release in both design and functionality.
The Footpatrol x adidas Gazelle is crafted with a nylon base that’s filled with Primaloft material, offering insulated wear ideal for colder climates. The upper is adorned in a soothing light blue, contrasted by crisp white leather accents on the stripes, tongue, and laces, which enhance the clean and fresh aesthetic of the shoe. Adding to its unique appeal, the sneaker features a greyish suede on the toe cap and eyestay strips, along with subtle foxing above the midsole—a design twist not typically seen on mainline Gazelle pairs.
Further elevating this special edition, the Gazelle boasts the Footpatrol gas mask logo on the tongue and heel, with corresponding Trefoil logos on the opposite sides of each shoe, symbolizing the collaboration's blend of iconic branding and boutique uniqueness. Each pair also comes with a rubber “Consortium Cup” keychain and a co-branded pouch made from Primaloft fabric, extending the down jacket theme into the packaging.
Releasing on Footdistrict on May 17th at 12AM PST, an official release date for Adidas.com is yet to be confirmed.
