Adidas Originals has taken a liking to animal-inspired makeovers for its expansive catalog. Presumably informed by the success of Wales Bonner's big cat-reminiscent projects, designs like the Gazelle Lo Pro continue to take on leopard prints without the high-profile stamp of approval.
A modified version of the 60-year-old Adidas Gazelle, the newly-surfaced silhouette features different proportions from the standard edition, making for a trendier aesthetic. The semi-translucent gum brown bottom complements the "Mesa/Wild Brown" color palette above, which is highlighted by faux pony hair clad in leopard-like spots. Profile 3-Stripes, tongues, and fold-over Achilles' heel panels deviate in a "Cloud White" tone, which helps the animal-informed presentation appear more pronounced. Metal eyelets add an elevated touch to the pair, which includes a paw-like embroidered image.
Enjoy official photos of the Gazelle Lo Pro ahead. Pairs of the leopard-inspired style are expected to drop via Adidas.com by October.
