Adidas Originals continues to dominate the sneaker scene with its expansive catalog of styles. To kick off Women's History Month, the Three Stripes has reimagined the popular Handball Spezial silhouette in two new colorways complete with ornate details commemorating women.
Recently reworked by Sporty & Rich for spring, the old school sports style has now emerged with 'Preloved Blue' and 'Auburn' suede across its upper. The Handball Spezial maintains the blueprint with which it debuted in the 1970s intact, delivering Adidas heritage to the modern era. Branding, T toe, and gum sole units are met with special details across the rear-half of the duo.
While not overtly part of any expansive collection dedicated to Women's History Month or March 8, official product descriptions acquired by House of Heatº share that the Handball Spezials have been designed with the company's Women's Network in mind. Top-most eyelets are reworked in a shimmering golden star shape that doubles as a reminder to shine. Furthermore, suede construction underneath the Achilles' heel features a debossed pattern that can be interpreted as a nod to springtime and symbol for growth amongst any network of women.
Firm Adidas.com release details haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's expected to change before March ends. In the meantime, enjoy detailed shots of both 'Preloved Blue' and 'Auburn' Handball Spezials for women below.
