Adidas embraces the nostalgia wave with a uniquely inspired take on the Handball SPZL with a two-pair "Grandma's Couch" collection coming soon.

This release follows a burgeoning trend of upholstery-inspired sneakers, a motif recently explored by Unheardof with their Rivalry Lows and by Nike with the LeBron 21.

Though officially under the guise of "taking inspiration from ornate carpets," the similarities are glaring.

The "Grandma's Couch" edition transforms the classic Handball SPZL into a piece of wearable art. It features green and navy floral tapestry patterns that echo the familiar and often nostalgic upholstery of a grandparent's living room furniture. This vintage aesthetic is enhanced by tonal suede and leather overlays, which add depth and a touch of luxury to the design.

Golden-yellow and vibrant orange Three Stripe overlays and gilded SPEZIAL branding on the lateral side highlight the sneakers, injecting a rich contrast that pops against the intricate background.
