Available Now // adidas Lacombe “Redwood”
Although it may feel like a 50-year-old sneaker, the adidas Lacombe only debuted back in 2016 as part of Gary Aspden’s SPEZIAL line. It incorporates elements of two tennis classics in the Rod Laver Vintage and Newcombe silhouettes — silhouettes made for two of Australia’s best-ever athletes. Perhaps that’s why I, a fellow Australian, love these so much — or perhaps it’s their minimalist stylings that can be worn for literally any occasion. The heritage-inspired sneaker has just arrived in a new “Redwood” rendition, in which the title color distinguishably hits the tongue and heel overlays. The upper arrives in a buttery tumbled white leather, complete with crinkle-cut overlays and perforated Three Stripes on the profile. Underfoot you’ll find a thick cup sole unit in a pre-aged-look sail, and the pair is capped off with classic gold foil branding on the tongue.
Take a look at the silhouette’s latest rendition in detail below before heading over to SNS to scoop up your pair today for $110.
