Once said to be a collaborative model with actor-turned-director Jonah Hill, the adidas LXCON continues to find its ground as various kits arrive in the likeness of a few notable entries in the Three Stripes toolbox. As its uppers come painted in many a tone, the newest iteration takes on a stunning yet smooth use of a red-to-black and black -to-volt gradients done in an execution that is reminiscently DIY. The first pair adorns the darker shade up top while the various accents adjacent — such as the intersect eyestays, surrounding tubing, and laces — sit in perfect compliment; the lower half, which finds itself in an almost spray painted fashion, completely transforms the overall look to one of much deeper contrast. The other, more vibrant Volt offering is flipped, and truly pops thanks to bold strikes of red on the Three Stripe eyestays.
