We’ve seen adidas rework old design with modern twists a handful of times this year, including the Nite Jogger and upcoming Ozweego, each of which stem from the late 80s-early 90s. Seemingly their focal point for the future, the adidas LXCON is yet another new silhouette from the Three Stripes which takes design cues from their rich 90s heritage and bleeds them modern-day trends.
With the debut duo of LXCONs arriving in period-specific colorways, the next pair up to the plate rids itself of all saturation, opting for a classic made-for-summer Triple White rendition. Contrast is considered by the use of its all-white mesh upper, which provides texture and shadow. Profile stripes, which act as makeshift eyestays, complete a pair with subtle branding, opting for surprisingly barren logo plays.
