When it first hit stores in 2015, the adidas NMD caused an unexpected frenzy of excitement, fueled by its unparalleled comfort, versatility, Instagram appeal, and, of course, Kanye West’s move to adidas. In the six years since, the shoe has undergone several iterations, from Pharrell’s NMD Hu collaboration to the recently unveiled R1 V3. While none have quite matched the popularity of the original or the Hu, their latest model, the NMD S1, has proven to be the most influential in recent times. Now it appears in a crossover of sorts, as the Three Stripes blends two of it’s biggest lines together, the Copa and the NMD.

The simply-blocked trio arrives in all-black, beige and mint, and bone and white, respectively, and not much is tweaked on the release except the obvious foam rise. These are delivered in style identical to that seen on the last generation of Copa football boots — and given the style code numbering, it’s likely that these were originally expected to release before the next series of boots releases.

Nonetheless, adidas will push ahead with this Copa/NMD combo, with products loaded up on-site for a release soon.
