Adidas is set to expand its Samba 62 lineup with a new two-pair pack, bringing fresh takes to the silhouette that reinterprets one of the brand’s most iconic models.
Despite what the name might suggest, the Samba 62 isn’t a relic from 1962. Instead, it’s a contemporary mash-up that blends the DNA of the classic Samba with design cues from old-school running sneakers, creating a fusion of terrace wear and vintage athletic aesthetics.
This latest drop introduces two soft nubuck variations, one in brown and the other in green, each taking the hybrid concept even further. The brown pair features a sail-colored heel wedge and matching rubber sole, giving it a worn-in, heritage feel, while white Three Stripe overlays provide a crisp contrast. Meanwhile, the green version sticks to a similar formula but swaps in a gum rubber outsole, maintaining that retro indoor trainer vibe. Both pairs retain key Samba 62 details, including the lower-profile foam midsole—reminiscent of silhouettes like the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 and Nike Cortez—stainless steel eyelets, and a practical pull tab at the heel.
With terrace culture still at the forefront of mainstream fashion, Adidas continues to find new ways to evolve its heritage-inspired designs. The Samba 62 "Brown" and "Green" will be released on April 1st via Adidas and select retailers.
