Following the success of its Wales Bonner collaboration, the Three Stripes has explored pony hair construction and animal-inspired ensembles on its own. Over the last year, the brand has recreated the magic produced by the menswear imprint, producing a number of popular Adidas Samba LT offerings in the process.
Usually exclusively sold in Women's sizing, these pony hair-clad trainers have blended sports heritage and fashion-forward elements perfectly. Leopard and cow-inspired prints have been mainstays across the Adidas Originals division, which will soon include another duo covered in faux animal hair. Both pairs indulge in relatively simple color palettes, with "Core Black" and "Off White" leading the charge. Their uppers, however, abandon typical leather-and-suede construction in favor of elegantly spotted materials. Reminiscent of Dalmatian dogs and giraffes, the impending Sambas also don their football-inspired Long Tongue (LT) component. Contrasting sole units appear between the duo, with the predominantly white-and-black style favoring a greenish hue across its profile 3-Stripes.
