The adidas Streetball Hijacks Nike’s Air Yeezy 1 “Blink” Colorway
10 years ago, the Nike Air Yeezy 1 “Blink” (Black/Pink) dropped and the sneaker game was never the same — but we all know that story. And despite all of Kanye’s ye-moments, the hype for the sneaker lives on. It’s a colorway that’s been consistently worked into different Nike silhouettes over the years — but this is the first time (the best of my recollection) that adidas has hijacked the famed Nike Yeezy colorway. This adidas Streetball “Blink” steals almost everything from the OG Nike drop, including Pink liners, black uppers, and midsoles, grey suede overlays and glow-in-the-dark outsoles. They have, however, opted for soft, smooth leather uppers instead of suede, and forgone the textured “Y” print seen all over the OG below:

And while we’re still seemingly a world away from receiving any highly-saturated adidas YEEZYs, this chunky 700-vibed silhouette may just have to tide you over — and it won’t come with a whopping price tag. Pairs of the adidas Streetball “Blink” are expected to arrive at select adidas stockists and directly from adidas.com this Fall for a cool $120. For updates on the drop, be sure to keep your eyes locked on our dedicated adidas Release Dates Calendar, and we’ll also be sure to keep you updated across our social channels.
