The adidas Superstar is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, the German sportswear juggernaut has tapped a number of its collaborators for special, limited edition styles of the iconic shell-toe. The brand, however, will also launch compelling solo efforts–including a pair featuring LED lights in its 3-Stripes logo.
Exclusive to Kids, the newly-surfaced Superstar is the latest offering from the company to include LED lights. Towards the end of 2024, adidas launched three sneakers in Youth sizing donning the LED technology. Previous styles featured the color-shifting update in the sole unit, whereas the next Kids' LED Superstar presents the series of lights across the profiles.
A clean 'Footwear White' sets the stage across the latest from adidas Originals. The sneaker maintains its traditional build across upper and sole unit–with the exception of the 3-Stripes and eyelets. A semi-translucent, plastic build recreates adidas' signature branding on the sides, with a Power button on the lateral heel allowing wearers to light up their sneakers. The Velcro-assisted lace guards provide ease of entry for the family's youngsters, ensuring the light-up shoes can be enjoyed hassle-free.
Enjoy official photos of the LED lights-donning Superstar for Kids ahead. A firm Adidas.com release date hasn't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's likely to change soon. The pair should be priced at $75 and arrive in other colors.
