adidas is leaving no stone unturned and no theme unexplored for the Superstar in this, it’s 50th anniversary year. We’ve been flooded with fresh takes on the half-decade-old sneaker, including holographic Three Stripes, varsity prints, all-over reflective branding and even a duo of Superstar-themed leather ultra BOOSTs. But not all of them have needed to be that extravagant, like this two-piece “Size Tag Pack”, which only adds subtle changes to the streetwear staple.
Arriving in both black and white, the sneakers arrive constructed in full-grain leather, with buttery leather heel overlays, lux leather liners and tonal suede Three Stripe overlays at the midfoot. Sole units arrive with a pre-aged look, and both heel and tongue branding arrive in contrasting blacks and whites respectively. The key detail for the duo appears on the lateral ankle: a traditional size tag that’s usually found on the sneaker’s interior.
