Adidas Originals continues to celebrate the Superstar's 55th anniversary with compelling new takes. Its most recent offering features two tonal offerings in "Crew White" and "Core Black," but it's not as simple as it sounds on paper.
While not an official collaboration Bottega Veneta, the latest shell-toe could very well be mistaken for one of the Italian label's Intrecciato leather goods. The weave throughout the sneaker's top-half creates a durable build that reimagines performance heritage through a modern, fashion-forward lens. The result is a footwear offering that could walk the runway, delivering a smart and versatile look in the process.
The Adidas Superstar's rubber toe is intact, while profile 3-Stripes, lace guards, and Achilles' heel panels indulge in slightly more refined presentations. Inner lining also enjoys a high-quality leather construction, while the sole unit underfoot harkens back to a shape from the Superstar's history. Lastly, the herringbone-patterned traction interrupts the pitch-dark finish in favor of a brown tone.
