Before his celebrated tenure at Nike, Kobe Bryant was suiting up in adidas for the first six years of his career. Since his passing, adidas have honored the great Laker through several reissues of his on-court kicks, including his bulky Crazy 1, and the Top Ten 2000.
While consistently reviving the late Bryant's inaugural signature model, the German sportswear powerhouse has concurrently been focusing on a refreshed version of the adidas Top Ten 2010. Initially released in the 1996-97 season during Kobe's rookie year, the 2010 presented an innovative, futuristic spin on the iconic Feet You Wear design. Showcased at All-Star Weekend, the updated silhouette now offers a variety of color palettes inspired by the late 90s, including a home "Lakers" edition and two contrasting white and black alternatives featuring eye-catching silver metallic highlights. Preserving its authentic composition with a ballistic mesh upper and tumbled leather overlays, the Top Ten 2010 is expected to pave the way for a resurgence of the Crazy 8 in a selection of new colorways, linking past and future generations to the brand's on-court legacy.
Pairs are presently available at adidas locations in Asia, so you should expect to see the US and wider global rollout soon. Until then, enjoy an official look at the three colorways on offer below.
