Although Kobe Bryant's estate has signed on to a long-term partnership with Nike, Inc., adidas continues to retro the Los Angeles Lakers legend's signature basketball line before he joined the Swoosh. One such model has been the Top Ten 2010, which Bryant wore throughout his 1996-97 NBA rookie season.

Previously seen in classic 'Core Black/Cloud White' and other original styles, the adidas Top Ten 2010 has recently surfaced in a look that Bryant never laced up on the hardwood. 'Carbon' and 'Arctic Fusion' divvy up the late '90s adidas Basketball design. While seemingly random, the ensemble falls inline with the Three Stripes' wider EQT line, a series of performance-oriented products developed by the legendary Peter Moore after he left Nike, Inc. 'Arctic Fusion' animates the textile base layer that sets the stage for the tumbled leather that covers most of the upper. Tongue labels boast adidas Equipment text as they did upon debuting, but its greenish backdrop brings the old school series to the modern era.

Underfoot, Foot You Wear tooling reprises its role. While newer sneaker enthusiasts might associate the peculiar setup with Ye's Yeezy 500, the technology was developed by adidas in the '90s as a solution to deliver reliable performance without sacrificing ground feel. Its presentation on the latest Top Ten 2010 favors a dark finish that allows for the top-half to steal the show.

Enjoy a detailed photo set of the Top Ten 2010 ahead. Firm adidas.com release details haven't been disclosed by the brand yet, but sizes should begin to appear overseas soon. Expect the pair to retail for $150.
